Poll Results - Week of May 25

In last week's poll, we asked our readers which jersey number was the best football and basketball combination in Wake Forest history. In a landslide, #21 took the crown.

The jersey number that belonged to Tim Duncan on the hardwood and Kenny Moore on the gridiron received 70 percent of the vote. Duncan's jersey already hangs from the rafters at the Joel Coliseum, and only time will tell if Moore's football jersey will be retired. Moore starred for the Demon Deacons during their run to the 2006 ACC title and the 2007 Meineke Car Care Bowl win, becoming one of the most prolific offensive threats in school history.

The #21 of Duncan and Moore easily outdistanced the other four choices. There was a three-way tie for second, as #3 (George Coghill, Chris Paul), #10 (Rusty LaRue, Ishmael Smith) and #31 (Brian Piccolo, Jack Murdock) each received eight percent of the vote.

The #10 jersey of LaRue and Smith was an interesting case. It was the only choice that featured a current player (Smith), but it was also LaRue's number in both football and basketball.

The #14 jersey that belonged to Jay Venuto and Muggsy Bogues received four percent of the vote to finish fifth.
