Catching Up With The Deacs

Some early summer updates on a few current and former Deacons:

Al-Farouq Aminu has withdrawn from the U19 trials.

Aaron Curry is exceeding expectations in Seattle.

Last year, Wake football players Alphonso Smith, Chantz McClinic and Kevin Patterson went to Tanzania to assist with the Nyanya Project, an initiative that helps build houses for grandmothers who care for their grandchildren who have been orphaned by AIDS. The North Carolina School of the Arts accompanied the group and is producing a documentary, a big of which can be viewed here.

Chris Paul is making a difference in New Orleans.

Jeremy Thompson should benefit from the Packers’ move to a 3-4 defense.
